Adams Steelguard has been involved in projects at both the Auckland and Wellington Zoos.
Our most recent work at Wellington Zoo was working on the new Giraffe House in 2008.
In 2011 we were engaged to work on the Te Wao Nui project at Auckland Zoo. The $16m precinct development project was the largest ever undertaken in the Zoo's 89-year history. Opening up previously undeveloped areas of the Zoo's footprint, Te Wao Nui offers local and international visitors alike a unique experience of New Zealand's fauna, flora and culture. This 4ha area has 100 different plant species, and 60 animal species.
Designed by Logan Brewer, Te Wao Nui opened to the public in September 2011.
