About the Project
Steelguard's main focus on this project was providing -/60/60SM and -/120/120SM fire-rated glazed screens for these stations (4022F).
The City Rail Link (CRL) is one of New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure projects, connecting Auckland’s city centre through 3.45km of twin tunnels. With new stations at Karanga-a-Hape and Te Waihorotiu, and redeveloped stations at Maungawhau and Waitematā, the CRL is transforming how Aucklanders travel across the city.
The fire-rated glazed screen systems were manufactured and installed to meet the project's fire performance requirements, designed to provide compartmentation and prevent the spread of fire and smoke. The systems were carefully integrated into the stations' new architectural design and constructed in accordance with relevant New Zealand standards and project specifications.
