About the Project
Steelguard supplied custom steel doors and windows for Ponsonby Central, including large sliding and bifold doors, pivot doors, double-door sets and fixed windows. Glazed sidelights and overhead panels helped maximise natural light while creating open, welcoming entrances (4210A).
The project required a range of door and window configurations to suit the different spaces within the development, balancing accessibility, functionality and visual consistency. From wider openings that allow for easy movement between spaces to fixed glazing that brings in daylight, each element plays a role in how the building is experienced by its visitors.
Steel is well suited to commercial environments like Ponsonby Central, where joinery needs to withstand regular use while maintaining its appearance over time. Its slim profiles also allow for generous glazed areas without bulky framing, helping preserve clear sightlines and a sense of openness.
